RAM Sustainability upgrades Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad’s (“KLK”) Sustainability Rating from Gold₂ (G₂) to Gold₁ (G₁) for the year 2025. This recognition reflects KLK’s continued progress in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance.

The upgraded rating highlights KLK’s continuous improvements across the following key areas:

1. Environmental: Progress in climate change reporting and effective implementation of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reduction initiatives that contributed to absolute GHG reductions in FY2024.
2. Social: Committed to upholding human rights, guided by the Group Sustainability Policy and reinforced through No Recruitment Fee Policy. An independent human rights risk assessment has been completed in our plantation operations in Peninsular Malaysia, with ongoing assessment in Sabah and Indonesia next in line.
3. Governance: The Group’s Sustainability Policy was updated in 2025 to meet the evolving industry expectations. In FY 2024, KLK for the first time obtained limited assurance on selected Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Zoological Society of London’s Sustainable Palm Oil Transparency Toolkit (SPOTT) indicators.

This upgrade affirms KLK’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into our business operations. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of all colleagues and it serves as a strong foundation for our continued journey towards sustainable growth and responsible stewardship.
